Tonight we had a Tripastorate church planting meeting. We cancelled next week’s meeting. We canned half our regular tripastorate meetings. We dropped a project we were working on and we finished our meeting an hour earlier than expected. It was amazing! We decided that we didn’t need to be doing so much talking, and we didn’t want to hate the church before it began because it was consuming our lives. Streamlining feels like one of the most productive things we’ve done so far.
I feel like we might be working towards a culture of less stuff, done better. Less meetings. Less nights out. More time being present.
I’m hoping I fill the time with fun and friends and relaxing things. I’ll try not to replace meetings with meetings.
Now, let’s see what else in my life I can cancel…
